Cessna 206 and BN2 Islander Pilots for April 15-September 15

Great River Air operates one Cessna 206 and one BN2 Islander from our base in Dawson City, Yukon. Our clients are primarily small, family operated placer mines, exploration companies, tourists, outfitters and various government agencies. Most days begin and end in Dawson City, but occasional overnights in various places throughout the Yukon and NWT are needed. Both of our aircraft are operated single pilot, day VFR.

Job requirements:

We are looking to fill two pilot positions. Ideally, each pilot will be able to operate either aircraft as needed. At a minimum, candidates will possess:
• a valid Commercial Pilots Licence and Medical
• 600 hours PIC, 1000 TT
• Physically fit to load and unload freight at remote airstrips, sometimes without assistance.

In addition to the above requirements, the following are preferred:
• Northern, mountain and/or gravel runway experience
• Multi Engine rating
• Time on type (either)
• Fire patrol or wildlife survey/telemetry experience

In addition to flying duties, pilots will be expected to assist in loading/unloading the aircraft, servicing, and occasional expediting and/or passenger shuttling to/from town (15 minutes from airport).

Schedule:

We operate 7 days a week, and our busy season is from mid-April to mid-September, occasionally later. Pilots will have a minimum of one scheduled day off per week, in accordance with the CARs. Alternate schedules may be discussed.

Salary:

Pay is a day rate (base pay starts at $60/day with an additional $15/day for each aircraft PCC/PPC. In addition, pilots receive $50/hour flight pay. This typically equates to between $4500 and $8000 a month through the summer season.
