This will be a stand-alone position and the ideal candidate will be solely responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Each problem is an opportunity to find a solutionAn inclusive, respectful, and kind attitude towards team members no matter their culture, race, or genderCommitted to the vision and fundamental values of the companyA loyal brand advocate at work and in lifeFilled with passion for our local food eco system and want to help drive changeROLE RESPONSIBILITIESCommitment to learn and apply Legends Values, and Business PrinciplesDevelop and implement strategic HR initiatives aligned with the company's goals and objectivesOversee recruitment and hiring processes, including building job descriptions, job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboardingManage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.Conduct regular training and development programs to enhance employee skills and promote career advancementAdminister payroll, RRSP and benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policiesConduct monthly safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standardsImplement diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a culture of belonging and respectCollaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop workforce planning strategiesMaintain accurate records and documentation related to HR activities, including employee files and payroll informationStay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR management and implement changes as neededServe as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related mattersROLE QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field5+ years of experience in human resources management, preferably in the food manufacturing or manufacturing industryStrong knowledge of employment laws and regulationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levelsProven track record of developing and implementing HR policies and programs that drive employee engagement and retentionExperience with HR systems and proficiency in Microsoft OfficeCPHR certification or working towards CPHR is a plusAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionWHAT WE OFFERThe typical hiring range for this position is $80,000–$95,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
