An acclaimed Toronto Architecture firm is seeking a Contract Administrator to oversee their projects being built in the Greater Montreal Area. The Contract Administrator will spend roughly 50% of their time on job sites, and the rest of their time will have the freedom to work from home. Initially, the projects this person will oversee are for a national retail program for a high-profile client, and will include both ground-up construction, as well as renovation work to existing locations. The Contract Administrator will be supported by a Project Manager and production team working from the company's head office in Toronto, ON.

Future work will include the construction of Data Centres in Quebec.

This position will include travel outside of the province as needed. Estimated travel outside of Quebec is once a month.

Responsibilities:

  • Drawing review for quality control, review and approve shop drawings
  • Site visits: review and monitor construction sites, coordinate and negotiate with contractors
  • Respond to and maintain tracking of change directives, change orders, SIs, RFIs in collaboration with project managers
  • Monitor progress, billing, project schedule, payment certificates

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of construction administration experience locally in Montreal
  • Must be fluently bilingual in French and English
  • 5+ years total in the architecture field locally
  • Strong understanding of commercial/retail construction, ability to work on multiple small projects at once with competing deadlines and priorities
  • Strong computer skills, Revit experience ideal, bluebeam, Microsoft projects, teams, excel
