Our client located in Burlington is a Healthcare services provider & they are looking for a Accounting Specialist to join their team! This is a hybrid position with only 2 days a week on site after the training period.

Role: Accounting Specialist
Salary: $50,000/year-$55,000/year
Location: Burlington
Employment Type: Full time permanent
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

-Accounting and bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable & collections, lease administration, and Adhoc tasks as required
-Process supplier invoices and cheque runs
-Generate sales invoices and recording payments
-Communicate with clients and/or vendors through phone and email regarding accounting related matters such as delinquent payments
-Perform monthly Bank reconciliations and other general ledger reconciliations
-Assist with the month-end close process; account analysis and journal entries
-Assist with U.S. payroll processing and provide support for HR Specialist

Requirements:

-Accounting/Bookkeeping/Payroll: 2 years+ (preferred) working within small to medium sized organization
-Diploma in Accounting or Business preferred
-Proficiency using QuickBooks (preferred) or similar accounting program
-MS Excel and MS Office skills
-Intercompany billing and US sales tax experience an asset
-Highly organized, self-managed and able to work independently
-Strong attention to detail
-Excellent communication skills
