About the Role:

Reporting to the Talent & Workforce Planning Manager, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be responsible for providing support throughout the full-cycle recruitment process across the organization. This includes but is not limited to: posting job vacancies, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, administering employment reference checks, onboarding and HR admin duties.

  • Post on various job boards and manage candidate pipeline through the Applicant Tracking System
  • Participate in virtual and in-person recruiting events, career fairs and related initiatives
  • Conducts applicant prescreening by reviewing resumes, facilitating phone screens and provide recommendations to the hiring team
  • Coordinate post-interview activities, including observation shifts, reference checks and collection of new hire paperwork for Orientation
  • Complete regular updates on existing vacancy scorecards for accurate reporting metrics
  • Maintain business relationships with recruiting partners (Colleges/Universities, agencies, government resources, vendors/trade organizations)
  • Provide regular updates to Talent & Workforce Planning Manager, Talent Acquisition Specialists and HR team, as needed
  • Work with the Human Resources team to create a welcoming and supportive environment for applicants, employees of Kerry's Place, people supported and members of the public.

General Responsibilities:

  • Through actions, supports the Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan of Kerry's Place.
  • Reviews and adheres to all Policies and Procedures, including: Finance & Administration; Services & Supports; Human Resources; Health & Safety, and all other.
  • Adheres to employee responsibilities for Health & Safety as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the total compensation plan and programs (benefits, pension, etc.), and communicate this to prospective new hires and employees.
  • Ensure appropriate confidentiality is maintained for individuals and employees.
  • Be familiar with legislation and regulations related to Human Resources and assist employees to locate relevant documents.
  • Assist with various Human Resources Projects and provide back-up for other Human Resource functions.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Completion of Ontario Secondary School (or equivalent) and Human Resources experience complimented by training and/or education in Human Resources. CHRP designation or equivalent is preferred.
  • 1 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and/or Human Resources.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Proficient with computers and software such as: Microsoft Office Suite, ADP, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, innovation and creativity.
  • Excellent problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid Driver's License, with a minimum G2 and a reliable vehicle.
