Job Brief:

The part time Quality Manager position is responsible for supervision, implementation and monitoring of Control Tech's quality control and assurance programs and activities covering all aspects of the Quality Manual.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understanding customers needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all customer requirements and legislation.
  • Develop and implement quality control plans for instrumentation and electrical construction projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of quality inspections, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders and management.
  • Stay up to date with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety and quality guidelines.
  • Evaluate the quality performance of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with procurement and project management to address quality related issues with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the quality awareness and skills of construction teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and best practices within Control Tech.
  • Investigate and analyze the root cause of quality issues and recommend corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with clients, addressing any quality concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a quality manager.
  • A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of installation and commissioning procedures.
  • Knowledge of equipment used to perform these activities.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards.

Education:

  • BSc/Ba in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in instrumentation and electrical construction and maintenance.
