Job Description
SLR Consulting (Canada) is seeking Environmental Planners to join our team. We are looking for individuals with a post-secondary degree in a related technical environmental discipline and at least 5 years of experience in environmental consulting. Experience with power, renewable energy, and mining EA's is preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Work on significant power, renewable energy, and mining projects
- Support day-to-day implementation of environmental impact assessment, permitting, compliance, and due diligence projects
- Conduct report writing, research, and desktop studies
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for technical document compilation
- Implement consultation and engagement programs
- Support business development activities
- Assist with project management duties

Qualifications- Post-secondary degree in a related technical environmental discipline
- 5+ years of experience (power/renewables/mining experience preferred)
- Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong technical writing skills
- Understanding of environmental regulatory and permitting requirements
- Experience in environmental consulting environment is an asset
- Understanding of international environmental and social impact assessment standards
- Ability to travel within Canada periodically
