Job Description

SLR Consulting (Canada) is seeking Environmental Planners to join our team. We are looking for individuals with a post-secondary degree in a related technical environmental discipline and at least 5 years of experience in environmental consulting. Experience with power, renewable energy, and mining EA's is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work on significant power, renewable energy, and mining projects
2. Support day-to-day implementation of environmental impact assessment, permitting, compliance, and due diligence projects
3. Conduct report writing, research, and desktop studies
4. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for technical document compilation
5. Implement consultation and engagement programs
6. Support business development activities
7. Assist with project management duties

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in a related technical environmental discipline
• 5+ years of experience (power/renewables/mining experience preferred)
• Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong technical writing skills
• Understanding of environmental regulatory and permitting requirements
• Experience in environmental consulting environment is an asset
• Understanding of international environmental and social impact assessment standards
• Ability to travel within Canada periodically
