The position is responsible for overseeing all operations of the facility, including receiving, inventory, production, shipping, and assisting in guiding the strategy of its designated site, in conjunction with other members of the leadership team. Responsible for ensuring that health and safety protocols are adhered to by conducting safety meetings, audits and inspections to ensure compliance. Manage and Continuously Improve Daily Operations Ensure accuracy of all production, packaging, labelling, shipping, and receiving Manage finished goods and bulk inventories; Work collaboratively with Quality, Sales and Technical Support departments in communication of operational issues and knowledge. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and periodically review to ensure they reflect current processes. Ensure all operations are executed according to regulations and Medisca policies. Confer with vendors and local resources to ensure superior services at minimal cost. Regulatory Inspections and Audits Assist in hosting regulatory inspections. Work in conjunction with Quality department to provide reports at the end of each inspection day for review. Facility Management Manage buildings, grounds, and systems and negotiate rates/contracts with outside sources as they relate to building management. Ensure facility, company equipment and supplies are up to date. Material Requirement Planning Oversee all MRP operations for inventory control. Work in conjunction with head office to ensure accurate demand planning. Obtain permits and manage logistics for import and export. coach and counsel employees towards superior performance. Set Department key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and standards, conducting audits and reviews of existing health and safety policies, advising employees on safety procedures, conducting training sessions, and addressing incidents and injuries. Provide regular training and coaching as they are related to safety-specific initiatives. Maintain regular knowledge of safety laws and guidelines set forth by state and federal agencies. Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, Business or Education or relevant field Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or cGMP is considered an asset Knowledge of Six Sigma and asset Operational involvement with regulatory bodies Experience dealing with quality management software is considered an asset A strong leader with excellent management skills and the ability to coach others fluent French and English (oral & written) required.
