Engineering,Technical, Skilled Trades, Management & Computer positions Business Administration or other related post-secondary education preferred ~ Broad commercial and supply chain experience including purchasing of components in a manufacturing setting ~10 yrs+ experience in progressive purchasing functions in manufacturing sector environments ~5 yrs+ experience as a Purchasing Manager with direct reports ~ Previous experience handling multi-milion dollar value annual purchasing budget (nine figures)~ Experience with developing supplier relationships, contract management ~ Experience with manufacturing systems and procedures, reading mechanical blueprints ~ Energetic problem solver able to identify causes and solve for both short and long term ~ Strategic planning experience with focus on cost savings Coaching and developing the purchasing team Work closely with production, manufacturing, quality assurance and engineering in course of duties to ensure optimum quality, pricing and delivery of components (correct quantity, quality, pricing and delivery schedules) Arrange for purchase and timely delivery of required materials / components ensuring best price and quality are achieved Effectively communicate supply chain information throughout the organization #
