Reporting to the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Analyst will support the HR Shared Services Operations Team by providing benefits support for hourly and salary employees across Canada. This role will also drive reconciliation and processing of 3rd party payments while resolving employee issues with 3rd party providers as necessary.This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario and will have flexibility for both remote and in-office work based on our hybrid work model.AccountabilitiesAssist employees with pension and benefits enrolments and transactions for eligible employees applying terms of Collective Agreements and/or Company Policy through Workday or external 3rd party providers.To ensure the benefits and pension programs for hourly and salary employees across Canada are processed accurately and timely.To process benefits and pension in compliance with Company and Union programsTo generate reports and reconcile and process 3rd party payments (e.g., Group Insurance, Manulife RRSP & Pension, Union Pension and Benefit program, etc.).Resolve employee issues with insurance providers, pension plan administrators and other benefits providers.Coordinate leaves of absence and partner with 3rd party to administrator STD/WI claimsComplete Benefit Partner transactions in Workday for enrolments, changes, etc.Ensure accuracy of employee benefits data, including service from third party vendorsPrepare and submit timely, accurate benefit & pension remittances for all plans.To complete other duties as assigned.Qualifications and ExperienceUniversity Degree/ Certificate preferably in Business or HRPreferred 3 years' experience in HR with benefits and pension experience.Comfortable processing and maintaining a high volume of material ensuring a high level of accuracy through attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.Outstanding customer service skills and dedication to providing exceptional customer care with a focus on quality customer service.Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, have a positive attitude, proactive approach, strong work ethic, work in a team setting.Ability to work under tight deadlines, multitasking, juggling, and prioritizing multiple priorities and deadlines.Ability to always demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and discretion.Experience with Workday an asset.What Extendicare has to offer:At Extendicare, we believe that working as a team creates an environment that allows us to reach our potential.
