The Opportunity:

WSP is currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our wide range of projects in the mining, industrial, and public sectors.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of technical expertise and a proven track record of successful project delivery. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of various civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

This role is a hybrid position based in either our Thunder Bay, Saskatoon, or Thornhill offices.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Design Site Plans that encompass site services, grading, earthworks, water distribution, access roads, drainage, and stormwater/wastewater management systems.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of project deliverables, conducting thorough reviews and assessments to meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Provide construction support and conduct site reviews during construction.
  • Develop, verify, and finalize technical deliverables including drawings, specifications, reports, and engineering calculations.
  • Prepare proposals and supporting documents for permitting.
  • Support project management, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Communicate with clients to establish and maintain business relationships, and contribute to business growth strategies.

What you'll bring to WSP:

  • B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting engineering firms, specifically in Civil Design and Site Planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Professional Engineering Licence in Ontario or one of the provinces.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, Knowledge in Pix4D, and Revit would be an asset.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a valid G driver's license.
  • Must be eligible for Enhanced Reliability federal government clearance (individual must have 5 full years of verifiable history in Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand and/or Australia to be eligibl e).
