Do you have experience with community outreach and coordinating programs for all demographics? Do you have skills in project coordination, budgeting and financial monitoring and supervision of employees? If so, we want you on our Parks Services Team! As the successful candidate, you will provide oversight to the Park Interpreters, Event Planner, Recreation and Activity Programmer, Parks Partnership Liaison, Parks Volunteer Coordinator and Administrative and Booking Clerk in the delivery of a wide range of programs and services throughout our RDCO Parks for individuals of all abilities. You will build partnerships with community groups to achieve organizational goals in line with RDCO strategic priorities. Align Visitor Services programming with Corporate and Departmental Strategic Plans: Provide day-to-day supervision and direction to employees and coordinate resources to deliver visitor services programing and ensure a positive public experience. Facilitate visitor services and programs by working closely and proactively with other RDCO functions, partners, special interest groups and stakeholders. Oversee and develop contracts to ensure services are efficient and cost-effective. Support staff to respond to public enquiries, complaints, and service concerns Undertake general administration associated with Visitor Services: Review, approve and track purchase orders and accounts payable invoices within policy limits. Review and approve payroll time sheets and holiday requests. Support the training, coordination and scheduling of staff and creation of programming and events. Support visitor service employees in a mentorship capacity, supporting skill development, expanding perspectives, offering feedback, and providing access to tools and contacts. # A Diploma in parks/recreation administration, education, community relations or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience ~3 years experience in program coordination, non-profit, or another applicable field ~ Supervisory experience an asset ~ Strong computer skills, including MS office and database The RDCO offers a variety of perks from dental, health and vision benefits, paid vacation, pension plan, training and development, opportunities for advancement, work-life balance, on-site parking, and the opportunity to contribute and make a change within the community. com/jobs by Sunday, April 28, 2024.
