Principal Canmore Collegiate High School/Alpenglow School Canadian Rockies Public Schools (CRPS) is seeking an experienced and inspiring educational leader. Located in Canmore, Alberta, the school serves the community of Canmore, which has a population of approximately 14,000 residents. Canmore Collegiate High School (CCHS) is a grade 9-12 school. Alpenglow is a K-6 alternative school embedded within CCHS. The combined enrollment is 600 students. CRPS is looking for a leadership candidate who has a proven record in the support and implementation of Inspiring Hearts and Minds (IHM) objectives and Nurturing Excellence in Instruction and Leadership (NEIL) through the use of the Teaching Effectiveness Framework (TEF). The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to actioning the Board's mission and vision. It is expected the successful candidate will collaborate, integrate and align with Banff Community High School (BCHS) to foster student and staff learning opportunities across both high schools, and directly support CRPS high school alignment between CCHS and BCHS. The ideal candidate will be one who has a proven record in instructional leadership and exemplifies a dynamic, collaborative management style in an environment of positive interaction with all education partners and who will model the mission, vision and values of Canadian Rockies Public Schools. Canadian Rockies Public Schools is committed to academic excellence. The implementation of outcome-based assessment and learning practices will be a priority. Community partnership involvement at Canmore Collegiate High School & Alpenglow School is outstanding and nurtured at every venue. Qualifications: - Minimum of five years successful instructional leadership/administrative experience and hold a degree at the Masters level. - Significant teaching experience and have, or is eligible, for Alberta certification. - Demonstrates educational leadership in achieving strong results for students. - Demonstrates instructional leadership working collaboratively with professional staff across both high schools. - Through strong instructional leadership, will continue to lead and implement outcome-based assessment and learning practices. - Knowledge of and experience working with assessment for learning principles and strategies. - Demonstrates examples of a commitment to lifelong learning and active participation in the life of students. - Informed in the school and school division's Four Year Education Plans and the major themes of Inspiring Hearts and Minds, The Shared Vision of Instructional Excellence, the Teaching Effectiveness Framework and actively embody the Alberta Education Leadership Quality Standard. - Experience leading creative and experiential education initiatives would be an asset. - Experience aligning high school curriculum and courses between schools/campuses would be an asset.
