Plains currently is looking to fill a Rail Loader vacancy at our Dewdney Terminal near Regina, SK. As a member of the Regina Operations Team, your duties will include, but are not limited to, performing daily railcar loading activities at the Dewdney Terminal in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures. This is a position that requires shift work on a rotating, 12-hour basis. Overtime is expected. Permanent residency within 120 km of the Dewdney Terminal is a condition of employment and preference will be given to local candidates. Ensure adherence to safety standards in accordance with company policy and legislated requirements. Verify railcar numbers with loading instructions to ensure accurate placement of cars. Perform railyard switching operations required to position railcars at various stages of the operation. Perform mechanical troubleshooting for respective loading equipment; Perform safety system testing and periodic inspection/calibration of equipment. Understand the flow rates of product in conjunction with car loading and movement to meet daily loading requirements. Provide project support as required based on trade qualifications. Certified Interprovincial Journeyperson—Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Electrician, and/or Instrumentation and Control Technician ~ Power engineering certification considered an asset ~ Certified line locator considered an asset ~1–3 years of previous loading or rail operations experience preferred but not required. ~ Able to read and interpret P&IDs considered an asset ~ Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook ~ Valid driver's license with a clean abstract ~ Cleared pre-employment rail medical fit test ~ Compliance with the #Plains drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing To learn more about our Sustainability and ESG (environmental, social and governance) initiatives, read our 2021 Plains Sustainability Report .
