What do we expect of you
  • Post-secondary education focused on accounting such as a diploma or Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5+ years accounting experience.
  • CPA designation or CPA candidate; definite asset.
  • Proficient in using cloud-based accounting softwares such as QuickBooks Online.
  • Proficient in using & applying current & new technologies in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities & effectively prioritize work assignments for themselves & assigned team members.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, building & maintaining trusting client relationships.
  • Broad experience in managing general ledgers, bank/loan/account reconciliations & tax remittances for medium & small-sized businesses.
  • Broad experience in preparing & analyzing financial statements & reports.
  • Experience in providing relevant & constructive guidance to team members & clients.
  • Capacity to assume responsibility in a leadership role for increasingly complicated tasks & assignments.
  • Team player, positively impacting & supporting colleagues.
What you will be doing
  • Provide routine record-keeping of financial transactions using leading-edge accounting & financial management systems at an increasing broader & complex level.
  • Prepare & remit regulatory government filings.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, conducting financial & variance analyses.
  • Prepare interim & year-end financial statements.
  • Prepare & issue financial statements & relevant reports for our clients & other stakeholders.
  • Lead &/or review the work of Junior Accountants through delegation, training, oversight, & mentoring.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate & timely completion of client deliverables.
  • Assist Associates & Senior Associates with client projects as assigned.
  • Embrace feedback & mentoring from colleagues to further develop skills & abilities.
  • Participating in team activities and offering support to colleagues, helping to build a strong & cohesive work environment.
