In this position, you will be dedicated to the execution of tests and the continuous improvement of our manufacturing methods in ICOS infrared spectroscopy for the Measurement and Analysis (PAMA) business segment in Quebec City.Under the production engineering supervisor and reporting to the Continuous Improvement Group leader, he or she performs the execution and continuous improvement of ICOS tests. The specialist has an innate sense of work organization and efficient execution and highly values teamwork. He or she is proactive, communicative, and excels at problem solving.
Your responsibilities- Carry out the final tests while ensuring that the expected performance is met.
- Perform quality control on these same analyzers.
- Analyze and document the problems encountered during the tests.
- Respect the processes in place.
- Take charge of problem solving, either alone or as part of a team, when they are identified.
- Participate in the development of methods and products.
- Actively contribute to the implementation of ideas for improvement of test procedures and methods.
- In conjunction with the test coordinator and the cell process owner, execute continuous improvement projects.

- University studies in science or engineering (physics, optics, electronics, chemistry or other).
- Experience in optical system testing methods, ideally spectroscopic measurement and using tunable lasers.
- Have a concern for continuous improvement.
- Experience in production engineering or continuous improvement is an asset.
- Experience with high-level programming software, such as Python or Matlab, is an asset.
- Have a high capacity for learning and a keen sense of analysis.
- Demonstrate a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and versatility.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be meticulous and skilled manually.
