Job Description

Your Role:

As a Business Systems Analyst primary function is providing exceptional support services to the Transfer Agency and related applications to all internal users by providing optimal system solutions to business needs through the process of gathering and analyzing the user issues and requirements. This role will specialize in support of the Power Agent application on a day-to-day basis.

What you would be responsible for:

  • Daily support of the Power Agent system and the related business areas associated with processing client requests in that system. Requires some extended hour support as needed based on rotating schedule of responsibilities.
  • Adopts the role of project manager on small projects with minimal exposure and risk. Exercises strong project management skills through project lifecycle phases including analysis, business requirements definition, project communication, training, testing and quality assurance, and project deliverables documentation. Works closely with application development team throughout project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for transfer agency strategic development. Identifies, analyzes, and develops strategies for transfer agency opportunities that augment and extend traditional marketing, services, and sales support efforts consistent with Invesco business strategies and objectives. Effectively communicates transfer agency strategies, goals and objectives to internal and external clients and coordinates project prioritization with various internal departments.
  • Utilizes strong leadership skills, and client relationship management skills to effectively lead cross-functional resources such as business owners, marketing, services, IT, legal and compliance to implement smaller scale transfer agency initiatives.
  • Performs client relationship management which includes assisting in gap analysis and influencing business unit decisions based on holistic view of the overall goals and objectives of Invesco within the marketplace.
  • Provides support for business users inquiries and issues. Work closely with system vendors and other third parties to research and identify cause of reported issues to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Assess current technology and future enhancements and proactively communicates opportunities to apply technology or processes to management that will improve the quality and/or quantity of the work being performed.
  • Determines and conducts appropriate cost benefit measurements prior to pursuing initiative.
  • Ensures newly implemented enhancement/solutions meet client (business) needs as documented in specifications through such methods as post implementation support, reviews, and product evaluations.

Experience you bring:

  • College Diploma/University Degree in Business an asset or equivalent work experience
  • Two years directly related work experience in the Mutual Fund Industry. Knowledge of multiple transfer agency department functions, workflow and transfer agency systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management preferred.
  • The interest in facilitating key meetings. This includes scheduling, agendas, minutes, creation/use of visual aids and ability to keep participants focused on the purpose of the meeting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups of people.
  • Ability to use various software applications including, but not limited to Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project software.
  • Good organizational skills are required to effectively maintain multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

This role is paying a base salary within the range of $60,000-$65,000. The determined salary will be dependent upon the selected candidate's level of experience.
