Reporting to the Director, Assist Services, the Project Manager will provide operational and project leadership support on key strategic initiatives, and manage delivery of consulting services to clients in the long-term care sector. This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual with consulting experience to apply their skills in a dynamic healthcare environment, driving positive change and operational excellence.

The successful candidate is someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, and possesses superior analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills. This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario and will have flexibility for both remote and in-office work based on our hybrid work model.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with long-term care home and operations leadership to monitor progress on improvement initiatives and achievement of financial forecasts.
  • Drive change management activities across business units, collaborating with functional leads to ensure projects progress and complete on time.
  • Provide project management leadership to key business initiatives aimed at improving specific operational results.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized reporting, dashboards and visualizations to drive business intelligence and measure project success.
  • Prepare proposals for consulting services and lead delivery of consulting engagements, leveraging internal experts, coordinating efforts, and generating professional-quality client-facing deliverables.
  • Proactively identify project risks and recommend solutions and mitigation strategies .
  • Support the evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives in a complex environment, ensuring coordination with business divisions and corporate functions.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and other project management tools to track the progress of various workstreams.
  • Conduct external research and analysis to support strategic planning, decision making, opportunity assessments, financial models and other related business planning material.
  • Contribute to presentations for internal meetings, leadership forums and external audiences as required.
  • Build and leverage cross-functional relationships with key leadership and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategies and support deliverables

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree in a business or health sciences discipline. Masters in Business/Health Administration considered an asset.
  • Progress towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
  • 5+ years' experience in business/operational analysis, financial planning & analysis or management consulting. Experience in the healthcare sector considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and leverage data to drive business recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong business writing, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Independent work ethic in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, and ability to find creative solutions when issues arise.
  • High level of organizational agility, creative problem solving, and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience, training and/or certification in Change Management considered an asset
  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
