You're a talented e-commerce and web management professional with digital media planning and budgeting experience. Energetic and data-driven, you enjoy diving deep into the numbers and finding ways to optimize the online experience for your customers. You enjoy collaborating with internal teams and external partners, coordinating details to ensure every project is completed well and crushes the company's KPIs.

We're pleased to partner with our client, Specsavers, in their search for a Digital eCommerce Manager. This role involves maintaining the current website, launching a new e-commerce platform, and working closely with agency partners to optimize the digital media performance. The right person for the role has e-commerce and web management experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and can manage large budgets.

About the workplace

This is a hybrid role that requires working 3 days a week from their headquarters in Burnaby, BC.

About the role

  • Maintain the website with up-to-date content
  • Act as an expert and point of contact for platform-related queries and issues, ensuring they're answered and solved in a timely fashion
  • Optimize digital customer journeys for online booking, contact lens and glasses purchases
  • Lead SEO and AdWords strategies to ensure online visibility is optimal
  • Plan, launch, run, and optimize the e-commerce website in partnership with various internal partners
  • Work with the marketing department to drive traffic and conversions by managing, developing and executing content, campaigns, and price promotions
  • Manage relationships with digital agencies and other partners
  • Collaborate with the team to create a strategic roadmap aimed at optimizing ad spend, A/B testing and enhancing overall efficiencies in digital advertising efforts
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on digital media best practices and present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management
  • Lead the migration to GA4
  • Create digital reports and dashboards
  • Monitor, analyze and report on site analytics and campaign metrics, translating data into actionable insights
  • Assist in the development of regional e-commerce, digital analytics strategies, pulling together best practices and learnings from other markets

The salary range offered for this role is $110,000 - $125,000, plus a discretionary quarterly bonus, 5 weeks of paid vacation time, paid sick days, and extended health benefits.

About you

  • 5+ years' experience in web management and e-commerce
  • Post-secondary education in Business of Computer Science
  • Experience in digital media planning and budgeting
  • Ability to manage large budgets, coordinate activity with internal teams and external agencies
  • Data-driven and experience fulfilling business KPIs
  • Strong understanding of web technologies and production processes involved in online development
  • Aptitude for working with internet tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, SEO Monitor, web analytics programs like GA4, CMS tools like Drupal/Contentful)
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with IT and used to understanding the technical setup
  • A self-starter with a grounded "I can" attitude
