What You'll Be Doing
As a Consultant, Cloud Environment Management (CEM) you will join the Big Data Services team to contribute in planning, delivering and maintaining Environments for QA, DEV and Business Partners. You will be responsible for utilizing existing and/or adopting new tools and processes, with an overall focus in ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery of projects to meet business objective. Ideally, you should have a passion for exploring innovative solutions in a complex environment and have previous experience working with cloud technologies in a large organization.

How You'll Succeed

  • Collaboration: Work with the Operations, Release Management, QA, Development, Business, Technical teams and vendor partners to establish plans, standards, and procedures that satisfy the constraints and meet the objectives of the project.
  • Project Delivery : Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project's timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Ensure that the availability of PROD & Non-Production Environments are maximized to ensure our QA and Business Partners achieve their strategic objectives. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Strategy & Process Enhancements: Responsible for transforming of the CEM function with focus on use of leading edge technologies to automate CEM processes including Environment Health Checks. Review existing processes within the team, identify areas for efficiencies and improvements in our existing Incident and Problem Management processes.
  • Environment Maintenance, Monitoring and Currency : Ensure that all environments are properly maintained, updated, and monitored to ensure stability, reliability, and optimal performance. This includes managing dependencies, patches, and updates.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Coordinate the troubleshooting and resolution of any issues or conflicts that arise in the environments, working closely with development and operations teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions ultimately driving down repeat incidents/problems.
  • Documentation and Communication: Work closely with the environments release manager and knowledge management team to maintain comprehensive documentation of environment configurations, release schedules, and deployment procedures. Also communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on environment status, release progress, and any issues or risks that may impact delivery timelines.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in Cloud Operations, QA or Cloud Development team within the Financial Services sector. You have previous experience of at least 2-4 years working with cloud technologies, ITIL Processes and/or DevOps. You have the proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment on multiple initiatives at a time, along with hands-on execution.
  • You have strong working knowledge of the end-to-end testing processes, to analyze and protect test environment integrity and mitigate risks, present alternative solutions, and recommend solutions using available resources for complex initiatives with key dependencies.
