KASI Aviation Services Inc. (KASI), a part of Hexagon, is a North American flight service provider and a leader in airborne Lidar and Bathymetric survey operations. We operate primarily in the Americas and the Caribbean islands, and are currently experiencing rapid growth.

To meet these increasing demands, we are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Flight Operations to join our team. The Senior Manager – Flight Operations is responsible for establishing and enforcing policies and procedures that ensure safe and reliable operation of the company's aircraft. Hexagon operates aircraft based with KASI in Dorval, Quebec, and North West Geomatics in Calgary, Alberta, to support numerous survey programs globally.

What you will do:

  • Oversee all aspects of KASI flight operations.
  • Continuously advance and execute a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) including distribution of safety information and manuals.
  • Coordinate multiple functions which impact daily operations (e.g. maintenance, crew scheduling, load control, equipment scheduling)
  • Maintain and revise the Company Operations Manual in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and best practices.
  • Ensure company operations are conducted in accordance with current regulations, standards and the Company Operations Manual.
  • Be responsible for ensuring trained and qualified personnel are employed for all flight operation teams. Including the development and management of crew training programs.
  • Liaise with Transport Canada and well as regulative authorities while operating outside Canadian jurisdiction.
  • Liaise with clients and various stakeholders to execute flight operations in a variety of demanding locations.
  • Ensure compliance with flight and duty time regulations.
  • Ensure that all crew members are continuously aware of any changes to applicable regulations and standards.
  • Maintain a critical documents repository including, emergency response plans, SMS, training documents etc.
  • General management duties including training, team meetings, survey system installations/support, client manager relations and third-party coordination.
  • This role will report directly into the President of KASI.

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of experience in flight operations.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of both the Company Operations Manual and all Transport Canada regulations.
  • Consistently foster a safe work environment at all levels of the operation.
  • Have a general understanding of business operations and financials.
  • Are able to coach and manage a diverse group of both seasoned professionals and young eager pilots.
  • Pilot experience is an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (spoken and written) is an asset.

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
