Work Days/Hours: 35 Hours/week (Full time – Salaried)

Salary: $100,000-$120,0000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Area: Nepean, Rideau, and Osgoode (In-person, with some flexibility)

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Executive Director (ED) of Nepean, Rideau, and Osgoode Community Resource Centre (NROCRC) leads a multi-service community organization that supports individuals, families, and communities in need to positively impact their overall health and well-being. NROCRC is a non-profit charitable organization that provides equitable access to programs and services serving diverse communities, including newcomers, children and youth, and a growing seniors population. NROCRC supports a population of over 200,000 people and has one of the largest physical territories of all of Ottawa's community health and resource centres.

The ED oversees the day-to-day operation of the organization and works with the Board of Directors in planning its future programs and direction. The ED creates an environment that encourages progressive management, quality improvement, and a client centered approach. In addition, the ED represents NROCRC to the external community, including the public, clients, funders, colleagues, and politicians. Guided by NROCRC's strategic plan, the ED is responsible for fulfilling the organization's mission and vision and leads the organization by embodying the values articulated by NROCRC.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Operational Planning and Service Delivery

· Financial and Strategic Planning

· Human Resources Planning and Management

· Risk Management

· Community Relations and Partnership Building

· Leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:

· A minimum of a master's degree in social work, management, community development, social sciences or related discipline or equivalent qualifications based on relevant education and/or work experience in community health or social services

· Demonstrated competence as a senior manager in the areas of social services, health or community development for a minimum of 5 years

· Experience in community development and/or social services is a necessity

· Superior interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills

· Experience in and knowledge of a range of managerial responsibilities, including financial management, human resources, program development and evaluation, strategic planning, and community resources

· Experience in securing funding from a wide variety of funders and fulfilling all post-grant activities

· Experience with volunteer Boards of Directors and an understanding of community governance, and participation and knowledge of community organizations

· Ability to anticipate and act pro-actively in an environment of change

· Fluency in English is essential; French and other languages is an asset

· Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications

· Ability to integrate input from multiple sources and deal effectively with complex issues

· Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

· Vulnerable Sector Police Check is a requirement
