Principal Industrial Water Process Engineer You should expect to work closely with experienced professionals who will help integrate you into Geosyntec's culture as you advance to this next stage of your career. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you'd work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks. Strategic business planning to segment and target specific industrial, commercial and municipal clients for projects such as water supply, water treatment, and water re-use; Implementation of a personal business development plan to expand services and revenue with new and existing clients, in coordination with companywide business development plans; Project management and oversight of technical issues/work products; adherence to schedule, quality, health, and safety protocols; Recruiting, managing, and mentoring junior staff and mid-career engineers and scientists; Reviewing and leading the preparation of technical documents, drawings, specifications, and proposals; Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties; At times, the position may also include fieldwork including contractor oversight and process troubleshooting tasks. Training: This position requires OSHA/MSHA health and safety, first aid, CPR training, and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. Overnight travel: Advancement is based on an individual's own performance and initiative. Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred). (At least 10 years (15+ years preferred) of progressive experience in the consulting industry; Demonstrated experience in industrial and municipal clients with water supply, water treatment, and water re-use projects. (Demonstrated working knowledge of local regulations. (Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams. (Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients and growing a practice that sustains a group of professional junior staff. (Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (Strong oral and technical writing skills. (Valid Canadian driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
