Our clients Regulatory Transformation Team is currently in the process of writing the Impact Assessment for 93-101 Business Conduct which falls directly under the Ontario Securities Commission. As a direct result of this regulation our client is in need of a Business Analyst with strong G20 Reporting Backgrounds to each lead a workstream (TBD). As a Senior Consultant on the Team you should have specific experience in the capital markets businesses and experience liaising with IT. This position requires driving changes with cross-functional teams impacting business, technology and corporate support areas (especially Front Office and Operations) within Capital Markets.OSC 93-101:OSC Rule 93-101, titled "Derivatives: Business Conduct, " is a rule that governs the business conduct of dealers and advisers in the over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives market in Ontario. It sets out requirements and standards related to the following key areas:Know Your Client (KYC) and Suitability: Dealers and advisers are required to establish and maintain procedures for identifying and assessing the suitability of derivatives transactions for their clients. This involves understanding the client's financial situation, investment objectives, and risk tolerance.Know Your Counterparty (KYC): Dealers must also establish and maintain procedures to identify and assess the suitability of counterparties in derivative transactions.Fair Dealing: The rule emphasizes the obligation of dealers and advisers to deal fairly, honestly, and in good faith with their clients and counterparties.Conflicts of Interest: Dealers and advisers are required to identify and manage conflicts of interest that may arise in the course of their derivatives-related activities.Record Keeping: There are record-keeping requirements to ensure that proper documentation is maintained regarding client information, suitability assessments, and other relevant information.OSC Rule 93-101 is part of the broader regulatory framework aimed at promoting fair and transparent practices in the derivatives market in Ontario. It helps protect investors and maintain the integrity of the market by ensuring that dealers and advisers adhere to high standards of conduct.Daily Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day program management deliverables & governance across all aspects of project delivery – both business & technology – aligning with the clients corporate standards & methodologiesLeading the charge to understand regulatory requirements and turn them into business requirementsCreate Gap Analysis and Target Operating Models, Future State Analysis and Current state Analysis, Impact AssessmentsDevelop project artifacts including charter, integrated plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related PM artifacts, while complying with applicable enterprise standards (e.g. Risk, Audit, Compliance)Responsible for program integrated risk and issue management and trackingCoordinate focus and working group committees to ensure the objectives of the project are met; includes engaging with business leaders to resolve issues & make decisions.Monitor project deliverables to ensure proper resourcing is in placeSupports the project team in monitoring and controlling project activities including: risk, issues, status, communication, planning and execution. Proposes recommendations and adjustments and publishes periodic project status reports. Maintains project documentation repositories (SharePoint).Must Haves (5 or more years of project related/business experience):Business Conduct experience (OSC 93-101, SBSD, MiFID, SWAP Dealer would be preferred) but any G20 Reg Reporting background can work (OTC Derivatives, CFTC/SEC/OSC/EMIR/Dodd Frank, etc.)Regulatory text business requirements , gap analysis, regulatory risk solutions, control framework. Be able to write requirements, policies, directives and compliance content.Capital Markets business side experienceG20 Regulatory Reporting knowledgeBe able to chair meetings with various stakeholders: trading desks, operations and technology and oversee key project deliveriesHave knowledge of financial instruments, ranging from derivative products to foreign exchange
