What your day to day will look like?
-
Developing, checking and programing CMM (coordinate measuring machines)
-
Mount and install tools, attachments and fixtures
-
Interpreting inspection reports, drawings and specifications to ensure that dimensions of parts conform
-
Performing the required mathematical calculations for the inspection of parts
-
Finding faults according to specifications and identifying parts that do not conform
-
Performing the required computer transactions for monitoring parts
-
Perform in-process and final inspections
-
Preparing inspection and non-conformance reports
-
Keeping the appropriate Quality System logs up to date
-
Participating in investigations, continuous improvement of Quality processes and procedures
-
Scheduling a variety of precision measuring instruments for dimensional inspections with the aim of optimizing operations
-
Maintaining CMM hardware and updating CMM software
-
Test and calibrate equipment
-
Document and communicate production issues
-
Tool and Gauge calibration, and inspection support

Follow safety protocols
What you need to be successful?
Must haves:
-
University degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or aeronautical), Quality Assurance or Manufacturing Engineering
-
Minimum 5 years work experience in CMM
-
Other relevant experience and education related will be considered and evaluated
-
Problem-solving and analytical skills
-
Good understanding and knowledge of reading complex drawings and the applicable geometric tolerance
-
Teamwork, autonomy, sense of initiative, good communication, and results focus
-
Proficiency with CAD software
-
Knowledge of CMM programming languages
-
Fluency in English (oral and written)
Assets
-
Proficiency in Zeiss or/and Calypso software
-
CATIA or other CAD experience
-
Fluent with Microsoft Office tools
-
System knowledge such as SAP, ECATEs, and Team Center
