Position Summary
Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst for our Corporate Accounting team. The position is fully remote and open to candidates in either Winnipeg or Toronto. The position reports directly to the Manager of Accounting. They will have the opportunity to engage with a talented team and gain valuable experience. The incumbent will ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of information processed in our accounting system and have the skills to lead and encourage individuals within the department.
Key Responsibilities
· Preparing purchase price accounting for acquisitions including assessing intangible assets and drafting final settlement
· Prepare IFRS annual audited financial statements along with quarterly reviewed financial statements
· Annual impairment analysis along with WACC calculation
· Review below EBITDA reporting for compliance with bank certificate
· Lease liability accounting IBR, forecasting and reviewing terms along with assessing Right of Use assets
· Participating, supporting, and driving corporate wide financial priorities & initiatives
· Support efforts of management team through preparation and analysis of ad-hoc reporting as required
· Assisting with several other areas of the periodic, quarter end, and year end close process
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor of Commerce degree with finance and/or accounting specialization
· CPA or PEP designation
· Experience with purchase price accounting and settlements
· Experience preparing annual financial statements and notes
· Experience reviewing IFRS policies and applying knowledge
· 2+ years of experience as a senior financial analyst/accountant
· 5+ years of experience as a financial analyst/accountant
· Strong interpersonal and communications skills both oral and written
· Adaptable to changing processes, competing deadlines, and fast-paced environments
· Highly organized and manages their own and others' tasks with ease
· Mindset of continuous improvement
· Advanced Microsoft Office, Power Point and Excel skills, including Pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, etc.
· Experience in the following systems considered to be an asset: Business Central, Lucernix and MicroStrategy BI
· Experience in multi-location and/or retail business environment considered to be an asset
