With our head office and production facility in Abbotsford British Columbia, Canada, and warehouse in Stockbridge Georgia, Advanced Material handling is well situated to service the Americas.

Currently, we are looking for a full-time *Purchaser *at our Abbotsford facility.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

*1. Vendor Management:*

* Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement.

*2. Inventory Management:*

* Maintain optimal levels of materials, equipment, and components to support production schedules.
* Monitor inventory turnover rates, track usage trends, and implement efficient inventory control strategies.

*3. Quality Assurance:*

* Ensure that purchased materials and components meet quality standards and specifications required for production.
* Implement quality control procedures for incoming materials.

*4. Cost Control:*

* Monitor and control procurement costs by seeking cost-saving opportunities, negotiating favorable terms, and managing budgets.
* Analyze cost variances and implement corrective actions.

*5. Supplier Performance Evaluation:*

* Continuously evaluate supplier performance based on factors such as on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
* Identify and address any supplier-related issues promptly.

*6. Material Requirement Planning (MRP):*

* Utilize MRP software and tools to forecast material needs and plan procurement accordingly.
* Ensure that materials are available when and where they are needed for production.

*7. Documentation and Reporting:*

* Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and other procurement-related documents.
* Generate reports on procurement activities, inventory levels, and cost analysis.

*8. Market Research:*

* Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

*Qualifications:*

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent.
* Proven experience in procurement and vendor management.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficiency in using MRP software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of industry is a plus.

*Language required:* Fluent in English and Mandarin language capacities are strong assets.
