- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen as a Sous Chef or similar role- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team- Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food production- Excellent organizational and time management skills- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices- Proficient in food preparation techniques, including cooking, baking, and plating- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and management - Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
Responsible For- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen- Ensure that food is prepared and cooked to high standards of quality and presentation- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and providing guidance- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines- Assist in creating schedules and managing labour costs
