Responsibilities: Ensure the health, comfort and safety of our Customers Ability to perform tasks on all areas and aspects of renovation projects Competent in all aspects of carpentry such as framing, cabinetry, millwork, drywall, painting, tiling, flooring and ceilings Fit and Install cabinets, countertops, doors, windows, mouldings, hardware, flooring (LVP) Luxury Vinyl Plank Floor preparation by using leveling compounds and/or installing a new sub floor Tile tub surrounds, kitchen and bathroom backsplashes Repair and construct partitions and stairs Drywall removal, repair and replacement Painting suites as needed Advise and assist Maintenance Associates with repairs and maintenance Ensure daily communication with the Leader and team members Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment Ensure proper and accurate inventory management Complete all required administration for the position on a tablet Complete other tasks as assigned by the Leader Work in compliance with Health and Safety regulations Work as a team with other staff members to ensure goals are met Experience and Educational Requirements: Construction / carpentry background preferred with solid experience in drywall, residential plumbing, flooring, installing cabinetry and minor electrical Framing experience would be an asset Experience doing forms and concrete work an asset Technical Requirements: Working knowledge of English both verbal and written Familiarity with computer tablets is an asset Non-Technical Requirements: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service Dedicated to building better communities for all our Customers and surrounding communities Ability to take responsibility for all actions and decisions and to follow through until a resolution is obtained Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Strong planning and organizational skills coupled with ability to multi-task and prioritize (excellent time-management skills) Ability to work independently (self managed) and with other Associates in a team environment Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change and be flexible in nature Displays a high level of initiative and commitment to excellence Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm and assertiveness Ensure have all tool on the tool list prior to end of probationary period Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment Interested applicants are invited to submit a cover letter and resume.
