General Information:

The Quotation Tender Specialist will report to the Marketing & Sales Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and completing RFQs for the supply of High Voltage Services and spare parts, supporting customers by providing answers to technical questions and ensuring proper order transfer for optimal project execution with the operational team.

Responsibilities:

Create or review opportunities in Salesforce database.

Review quotation documents and identify any issues / clarifications that require follow-up with Front End Sales or customers.

Set schedule and milestones for proposals. If schedule is not feasible then request extension.

Review Terms and Conditions with the support of Front-End Sales and Legal Counsel contribution and support.

Work closely with Front End Sales teams to agree on tender strategy and prepare competitive bids while identifying risks.

Review and analyze customer specifications, engineering data, drawings, customer specifications, layouts, site photos and related information & requirements and coordinate input from factories / suppliers to develop proposals responsive to our customers' requests.

Schedule calls with customers / Front End Sales or factories to clarify scope or work and ensure all specifications are understood to provide a complete and viable solution.

Develop final pricing and complete quote package / offer. Ensure pricing is according to pricing guidelines, approvals matrix and market feedback price point.

Respond to customer questions / clarifications in collaboration with sales representative and factories / suppliers or technical support.

Follow-up with sales representative or customers to obtain feedback and amend offers as needed – i.e. reasons for tenders being lost and won.

Validate customer orders against quote / contract documentation, order documents & approvals and complete the required checklist for order transfer.

Attend meetings to exchange information and analyze contract requirements. Participate in investigating technical problems and establishing procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences.

Develop and maintain positive relationship with existing and new customers.

Qualifications:

College or University Degree in engineering or related field

More than 3 Years of experience in Tendering/proposal preparation for electrical components.

Ability to interpret product specifications.

English language proficiency is mandatory. French is an asset.

Good written and verbal communication skills with strong organization and time

Marketing and Sales acumen

Good networking skills

Ability to handle many proposals simultaneously.

Use of judgment and initiative necessary to identify priorities, solve problems, meet schedule, adapt to change and choose the most efficient ways to do the work.
