Software Engineer

Ripple Effect, an evolution of Battlefield's DICE LA, is a Los Angeles-based game studio on a mission to build community-first experiences through continuous innovation and boundary breaking technology.

Our Values: We believe in an honest and transparent environment, where developers grow in our crafts. We value bold risk-taking followed by excellence through iteration. We seek developers with diverse experiences who will enrich our studio creativity.

We are looking for an engineer like you to join our team who has experience understanding technical changes and debugging and diagnosing issues across projects and code branches. Ideally you also enjoy the challenge of diving into a performance issue to discover the root cause and sharing solutions across teams. You will work with developers across the entire production pipeline, such as engineers, production, designers and artists, to ensure our game and development workflows are performant.

Additionally, this job is open to remote work and will report to an Engineering Line Manager based in Austin, Texas and work within our Systems Engineering Team.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of programming experience in C++
  • Base level of experience in concurrency, memory and performance optimization
  • Experience working with multiple consoles and hardware requirements
  • Experience driving investigations into source of issues
  • Bonus - familiarity with multiple profilers such as PiX, Superluminal, or Tracy Profiler

Benefits: We are proud of the great perks we offer like comprehensive health and benefit packages, tuition reimbursement, 401k with company match, and of course, free video games. And since we realize it takes world-class people to make world-class games, we offer competitive compensation packages and a culture that thrives on creativity and individuality.

Next Steps: As part of the application process we might ask you to perform a practical work test. Apply online with a resume.
