The role cover all aspects of projects from conceptual and feasibility studies through to FEED stages for multiple clients concurrently. Input into mine site layout and design, working with the process and client teams to develop and implement an efficient and safe layout for bulk handling systems, storage systems and truck or rail loading systems. Input into refinery facility layout and design, working with the process and client teams to develop and implement efficient production facilities for refinery locations including material reception and storage, additives reception, handling and storage and finished product load out and distribution. Facility Inspection and Process Improvement. Preparation of technical specifications and reports for bulk handling and logistics systems related to mine site development and operation. Technology Implementation: Stay up-to-date with current mining techniques and principles including autonomous equipment and operations and other relevant technologies and identify opportunities to implement automation and digitalization to streamline operations for our clients. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all projects. Mentor junior engineers and prepare training plans. Be available for short term assignments worldwide. Technical and Industry Experience: Senior level design engineering experience with conveyor and feeder design, stockpile systems, and industry best practices working on mining, minerals & metals projects. Consulting engineering firm is a definite asset. Experience with bulk bagging and packaging equipment is an asset. Excellent technical writing and presentation skills. Experience with Computer Aided Design software and Microsoft Office is preferred. Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proven experience in mine operations/engineering or mine project development including selection of handling systems and equipment.
