Make an impact with our Indigenous Services Consulting team as a Senior Manager, Capital Projects. This diverse team of professionals works with more than 250 Indigenous peoples, groups and organizations across Canada and shares a passion for learning and understanding their history, culture and contributions to our country. As a trusted advisor, you'll provide expertise to empower Indigenous communities, organizations, businesses and individuals in navigating a dynamic social, political and economic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of consulting services focused on capital project planning and development, infrastructure planning, and contract administration
  • Engage with clients to discuss project priorities and challenges and develop integrated and comprehensive project workplans and schedules
  • Identify and lead responses to competitive business opportunities, developing the service delivery approach, effort estimate, and pricing options
  • Design, develop, and review professional reports, proposals, presentations, and correspondence with practical recommendations for value conclusions
  • Monitor project timelines against targets, adjust where necessary; advise clients of project status and seek clarification on discrepancies where applicable
  • Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
  • Network and take a leadership role in the local professional community while raising awareness of MNP and looking for new business development opportunities

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or similar) in business administration, planning, civil or building engineering technology, environmental studies or other related fields
  • 5 to 7 years of business planning, development, or related consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment with progressive responsibility
  • Experience working with Indigenous organizations including relevant legislation, government structures, programs, and current issues
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills
  • Certification in project management or contract administration an asset
  • Some travel for project delivery is required
