As a Junior Accountant, you will support the Intermediate and Senior accountants in the daily tasks required for the full-cycle accounting month to month which will support the organizational goal of accurate and timely financial statement preparation for the Multi-Family and Land Divisions in the Shane Homes Group of Companies. Prepare reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts monthly. Completing monthly bookkeeping for assigned entities. Preparing daily cash receipts for deposit into the corporate bank accounts. Participate in departmental cross training to ensure sufficient vacation coverage in the accounting department. Develop and apply knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) and REALPAC Minimum of one to five years of full cycle accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in commerce of business administration (accounting or finance major is preferred) Experience working with Sage 300 is considered an asset Self starter who utilizes their technical knowledge to apply judgement to work scenarios.
