The Halifax office is currently seeking a full-time Senior Municipal Engineer / Project Manager to join our team. This position offers a strong potential for future leadership roles at both the provincial and regional levels.

Duties:
  1. Collaborate with the Vice-President, Halifax, to enhance business and operational growth in Halifax, New Brunswick, and the Atlantic regions.
  2. Promote company-wide initiatives across Eastern Canada, including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
  3. Handle administrative tasks such as financial and staff management, staff development, mentoring, marketing, proposals, and report preparation and review.
  4. Conduct conceptual design and quality assurance reviews for various projects including road reconstruction, infrastructure renewal, stormwater management, culverts, watermains, and sewer systems.
  5. Work closely with Civil Engineers and project team members to deliver integrated solutions.
  6. Act as a Senior Project Manager for municipal and infrastructure renewal projects, providing technical expertise, analysis, and design leadership.
  7. Manage Municipal Engineering projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, client relationships, approvals, tender documents, and contract administration.
  8. Prepare and edit design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D as needed.
  9. Handle engineering and contract administration for municipal projects, including site development and various systems.
  10. Perform other duties as necessary for the position.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Licensed P. Eng. with a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in municipal engineering, including at least 10 years in consultancy.
  • Project management (PMP) designation is beneficial.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships and work collaboratively with all staff levels.
  • Experience in meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, and client development.
  • Proven skills in writing technical reports and documents.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Valid driver's license.
