The Halifax office is currently seeking a full-time Senior Municipal Engineer / Project Manager to join our team. This position offers a strong potential for future leadership roles at both the provincial and regional levels.
Duties:- Collaborate with the Vice-President, Halifax, to enhance business and operational growth in Halifax, New Brunswick, and the Atlantic regions.
- Promote company-wide initiatives across Eastern Canada, including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
- Handle administrative tasks such as financial and staff management, staff development, mentoring, marketing, proposals, and report preparation and review.
- Conduct conceptual design and quality assurance reviews for various projects including road reconstruction, infrastructure renewal, stormwater management, culverts, watermains, and sewer systems.
- Work closely with Civil Engineers and project team members to deliver integrated solutions.
- Act as a Senior Project Manager for municipal and infrastructure renewal projects, providing technical expertise, analysis, and design leadership.
- Manage Municipal Engineering projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, client relationships, approvals, tender documents, and contract administration.
- Prepare and edit design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D as needed.
- Handle engineering and contract administration for municipal projects, including site development and various systems.
- Perform other duties as necessary for the position.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Licensed P. Eng. with a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in municipal engineering, including at least 10 years in consultancy.
- Project management (PMP) designation is beneficial.
- Strong ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships and work collaboratively with all staff levels.
- Experience in meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, and client development.
- Proven skills in writing technical reports and documents.
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Valid driver's license.
