What you'll do:
- Review NAV packages provided by fund administrators to ensure dealing day Net Asset Value (NAV) accuracy.
- Assist with the accounting requirements for the Funds, including semi-annual and annual financial statement preparation and year-end audit activities.
- Support new fund launches by coordinating with external service providers, including banks, custodians and investment dealers.
- Assist with trade settlement relating to the trading of securities for the Funds.
- Work closely with members of the Finance & Operations team to help streamline the systems and reporting functions of the firm.
- Assist in monitoring the firm's adherence to its best execution & trade allocation policies for fund trades.
What you bring:
- University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar field is required.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) or pursuit of it is desirable.
- 1 - 4 years of progressive financial accounting experience preferably within a similar entrepreneurial organisation in the asset management or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of fund accounting, taxation and reporting is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build healthy internal and external relationships.
- Tech savvy with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; practical working knowledge of QuickBooks and Salesforce is an asset.
