SUPERVISOR
OUTREACH OFFICE – WINNIPEG, MANITOBA
Anishinaabe Child & Family Services is seeking one (1) Supervisor on a permanent full-time basis to work out of the Outreach Office at 56-1313 Border Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direct supervision of the Urban Program Manager the Supervisor will be part of the Management Team.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
§ Ensures that the agency is adhering to all Provincial Child Welfare Regulations and Standards.
§ Demonstrated ability to supervise staff with caseloads requiring experience in Intake, Child Protection and Family Service.
§ Excellent assessment skills and knowledge of separation and attachment issues.
§ Conducting regular case reviews with workers and ensuring documentation are up to date.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor of Social Work degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
· A minimum of five (5) years' experience in child welfare.
· A minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.
· Ability to speak First Nations Language will be considered an asset.
· Must possess valid driver's license and access to own vehicle; some travel will e required.
· Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving, computer and evaluation skills.
· Must have a working knowledge of the Child & Family Services Act and Regulations, SDM process and CFSIS.
· Working with collaterals and other service providers.
· Must have good understanding of First Nations traditions and culture.
· Must be available to work after hours and weekends upon request.
The successful applicant must provide a clear criminal record check and a child abuse registry check.
Salary will be based on education and relevant work experience.
