Main responsibilities
- Organize, maintain and independently manage litigation files in a digital environment
- Ensure the follow-up of the deadlines in the files
- Communicate with courts, service providers and opposing parties about ongoing cases
- Perform research on RDPRM, land register, Registraire des Entreprises, Corporations Canada, plumitifs and other resources, as needed
- Ensure document management (classification, digitization and archiving)
- Collaborate in the realization of the firm's vision and objectives.
- Some tasks could be modified and others could be assigned to you as needed
- Draft various legal documents and procedures
- Open customer files
- Answer customer calls
- Follow up on files with clients
- Write notes to file and memoranda
- Make contact with clients and bailiffs
Qualifications and Skills
- Has a degree in the legal field or a combination of education and relevant experience (10 years of experience and more an asset)
- Team spirit
- Sense of responsibility and rigor
- Have a great attention to detail, good time management, exceptional organizational skills and be proactive
- Ability to work alone, under the supervision of a partner, and/or in collaboration with other team members
- Ability to work under pressure
- Litigation experience an asset
- Demonstrates autonomy and initiative
- Be able to manage priorities well
- Excellent sense of organization, planning and rigor
- Have the ability to build a relationship with customers
