About the role

The Sales Director leads our Canadian advertising team, setting the sales strategy and delivering against the annual revenue goal. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, able to set a roadmap for our Canadian market growth and have excellent communication skills to collaborate with Roku's supporting teams and realise that vision. The Sales Director is responsible for growing a high-performance team and ensuring that the needs of Canadian advertisers and agencies inform Roku's development and growth plans. The position will report to the Director of International Ad Sales based in London.

What you will be doing
  • Leading Roku's Canadian advertising sales team and being responsible for beating the challenging revenue goal in a growing marketplace.
  • Developing the advertising sales strategy for Canada and communicating that strategy, and progress towards our goals, to the Roku leadership teams.
  • Liaising with key supporting teams across Ad Product, Ad Marketing & Insight, Account Management, Inventory, Pricing & Planning and Legal.
  • Managing the ad sales team, recruiting new hires and formulating the career path for existing team members.
We're excited if you have
  • Have 8+ years successful experience leading performing media sales teams.
  • Are a strategic thinker, able to listen to different viewpoints and formulate effective plans.
  • Own an extensive contact book with Canadian agency and advertiser execs.
  • Have experience working in the Connected TV and digital advertising ecosystem in Canada.
  • Track record of speaking at Canadian ad events and working with industry partners.
  • Are a self-starter, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Are proficient with PowerPoint & Excel.
