The Accountant, Esports & Lacrosse is a full-cycle accounting role supporting the Esports, Lacrosse, and Central divisions which includes the Vancouver Warriors lacrosse team and Seattle Surge esports team (Call of Duty League). The Accountant is responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, monitoring of the annual budget, and forecasting.

This role will focus on:

  • Maintaining monthly balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations including year-end audit/review binder preparation
  • Preparing monthly departmental reports for Directors and Managers
  • Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget including variance analysis and monthly forecasting
  • Maintaining fixed asset register including depreciation and continuity schedules
  • Reconciling ticket sales, event revenues, costs, and accruals related to Esports & Lacrosse games
  • Assisting in development of various financial and event reporting and analysis to support business operations
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual reports for the National Lacrosse League and Call of Duty League
  • Completing intercompany reconciliations and monthly reconciliation and posting of credit card transactions through Concur

YOU HAVE:

  • At least 2 years of general accounting experience, with experience in preparing financial statements and account analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and in pursuit of the CPA designation
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and accounting systems
  • Strong work ethic, loyalty, and dedication
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to effectively communicate financial results to various members of the Leadership Team
  • Self-starter with effective organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to analyze data
  • This is an onsite role at our office in downtown Vancouver

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:

  • Experience in Microsoft D365, JET Reports, and PowerBI
