Northern College is seeking a Manager, Information Technology (IT) Customer Experience and Operations in our Information Technology department.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Corporate Services, the successful candidate will provide technical expertise, assistance and advice on a college-wide basis concerning the acquisition, configuration, implementation and ongoing technical support for centrally supported academic and administrative computing resources.

What you will need to be considered:

• Three (3) year diploma/degree in a computer-related field of study or another related field;
• Continued education in current information technology and information management science;
• Seven (7) years of experience in electrical engineering, computer operations management, network, e-mail and telecommunications management;
• Formal training or experience in Advanced Networking, Project Management, System Testing Planning and Strategy, Telecommunication Technology, IT Strategic Planning, Enterprise Information Architecture Planning and Integrated Cross Platform Maintenance/Troubleshoot; and
• A combination of education and experience may be considered.

The successful candidate will be able to successfully give presentations, complete documentation, be skilled in team building and risk management, and will have knowledge of telecommunications hardware/software systems, as well as system performance monitoring tools for UNIX, Novell, and NT.
