As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing game features with a focus on game considerations, writing clean and efficient code, and collaborating with our team of game developers to create immersive and engaging player experiences. Together with your creativity and desire to push the limits of what is possible we will transport players to new dimensions of entertainment creating unforgettable gaming experiences.

The annual base pay range for this role is between $85,000.00 and $180,000.00 CAD + benefits, + profit-sharing.

Call of Duties:

Prototyping, implementing, and maintaining reusable netcode systems in Photon Fusion

Collaborate with the art and design teams to realize a shared vision of the game

Establishing engineering best practices that ensure high-quality results

Design and implement game features using Unity

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

Optimize and debug the game to ensure smooth performance in VR

Stay up to date with the latest developments in VR, Unity and Photon technology

Unlocked Abilities:

7+ years professional experience in the development of multiplayer games or equivalent relevant experience

Proficiency with Unity/C#

Experience with Photon Fusion

Experience bringing multiple multiplayer game titles to ship and beyond

Excellent understanding of software design techniques

Strong knowledge of performance/memory constraints of game software

Expertise in profiling and optimizing applications for efficient bandwidth and CPU usage.

Experience with Agile development

Experience with Git/Github, or ability to pick it up quickly

Great attention to details and the will to deliver bug free releases

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues

Power-Ups:

Experience with dedicated server deployment and operations, matchmaking, load balancing and geolocation

Passionate about VR games and familiar with VR design patterns

Experience developing for Oculus Quest or other VR headsets

You are a fan of story driven games
