We currently have an outstanding opportunity in our Edmonton location for a highly motivated team player as a Warehouse Shipper. The Warehouse Shipper is responsible for the shipping of all outbound freight, including; sales orders, samples, stock transfers, returns to suppliers and other non-stock items as required for branch operations.

What Your Day May Look Like:

  • Ensure orders have 2 inspection signatures prior to being shipped.
  • Add freight charges to packing slips if applicable.
  • Advise Sales staff of any problems or delays with sales orders/picking slips.
  • Report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Adhere to final inspection and shipping procedures.
  • Follow all safety regulations and report unsafe situations to Manager or Supervisor.
  • Participate in inventory preparation and completion of company inventory counts.
  • Act as necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment for self and others.
  • Enter waybills & weight into database for billing.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Two (2) years broad warehouse/distribution experience.
  • Previous experience as a shipper or equivalent is an asset.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and warehousing procedures.
  • Ability to load and unload materials.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs, bend, squat and stand.
  • Ability to manage an inventory system.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Be aware of your surroundings including mental, physical, visual and environment conditions.
