Job summary:
Reporting to the Manager of Outbound Logistics, the Logistics Transport Specialist will play a pivotal role in optimizing outbound logistics and transportation strategies, with a primary focus on E-commerce channels. This role requires a deep understanding of E-commerce logistics and parcel carrier operations. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong passion for logistics, possess the drive to innovate, and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Outbound Manager to develop and refine outbound transportation strategies tailored specifically for E-commerce logistics, leveraging insights into parcel carrier networks and best practices;
- Proactively address and resolve transportation challenges within the E-commerce supply chain, prioritizing solutions that enhance the end-to-end customer experience;
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of parcel carriers, utilizing expertise in parcel carrier operations to inform decision-making processes;
- Identify opportunities to leverage innovative transportation technologies and solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness within E-commerce logistics operations;
- Facilitate seamless communication of merchandise movements to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment between internal systems and external freight partners' portals;
- Monitor daily delivery schedules and swiftly address any carrier issues to minimize disruptions to E-commerce order fulfillment;
- Analyze and review outbound shipping KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to achieve performance goals;
- Manage outbound logistics billing, including the review and processing of carrier invoices;
- Build weekly KPI reports to measure carrier performance and identify areas for improvement;
- Manage daily ticket requests, providing timely support to the Logistics Coordinator and Warehouse Operations team;
- Foster strong partnerships with both internal (customer service, warehouse, stores) and external (carriers, brokers) stakeholders to troubleshoot shipment issues and drive continuous improvement;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new logistics processes tailored to the evolving needs of the company's E-commerce operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or related operations, with a focus on E-commerce logistics and parcel carrier management;
- Fluent in both French and English;
- Experience working at an E-commerce retailer is a plus;
- Proficiency in transportation management systems and logistics technologies, with a keen understanding of parcel carrier operations and best practices;
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams;
- Demonstrated initiative and a commitment to driving process improvement within E-commerce logistics operations.
