You are welcome to work in our office, hybrid or remote ~ Full-time Permanent Role ~ Benefits available day 1: medical, dental, retirement plan, telemedicine program, employee assistance program, etc. ~ Flexible hours ~ Role: The Global Mobility & Immigration Specialist, reports to Vice President, Human Resources and works closely with the HR Team, Employees, Managers and our external Immigration firm. The ideal candidate demonstrates their empathy and active listening skills with our employees, their ability to make recommendations on immigration and mobility best practices as well as their project management skills. Promote and enhance our immigration strategy, program, and relocation support policies, and, overall, build an incredible employee experience during transitions and relocations. ~ Act as expert and advise on legal and government regulations to provide a seamless experience. Document, improve or develop procedures and policies related to immigration and mobility and various internal tools. Identify areas of opportunity within our current mobility and immigration processes and level up the overall experience for employees and managers. Partner with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Managers, Employees, Candidates, and other stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure immigration processes are delivered seamlessly and timely. Initiate and supervise, along with legal counsel, the immigration process from end to end. Work permit extensions ~ New work permit applications ~ Visitor visa requests ~ Permanent residency requests ~ Permanent and temporary relocations Support and provide guidance to the employees throughout their relocation by answering their queries in a timely manner and managing: ~ Participate in various HR projects and initiatives. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Law, or related field. ~S. and Canada (Quebec) Immigration. ~ Sound knowledge of US, Canadian (Québec) and international immigration regulations, work regulations, and best practices. ~ Prior experience in a consulting role is a major asset. ~ Fluency in English and French: Knowledge of immigration regulations of other countries in which Equisoft maintains legal operations is an asset.
