Our client is looking for an INTERMEDIATE ELECTRICAL DESIGNER/ENGINEER to join their team on-site in Windsor, ON. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years of relevant experience and knowledge with electrical schematics and systems. Responsibilities:
- Involved in developing electrical schematics/layouts (SLD, power distribution, lighting layouts, panel schedules, load calculations, etc.) based on project deliverables.
- Preparing cost estimates and various reports based on collected data (power studies, ArcFlash, etc.) for Senior reviewers.
- Assisting in Contract Administration (prepare Form of Tender documentation, organize specifications, review tender submissions, etc.).
- Responsible in performing Construction Administration during construction, systems start-ups and system buyoffs.
- Performs field checks for gathering data, measurements verification and coordination.
- Responsible in liaising with Clients and Local Distribution Companies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering environment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technologist diploma with electrical focus or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of electrical theory and basic construction and design of electrical distribution systems and various electrical studies
- Must be able to perform fieldwork with minimum supervision (manufacturing, industrial, commercial, institutional, and construction environments)
- Knowledge of ESA, CSA, and other industry standards
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD is required; Proficiency in Revit preferred
- Experience in BIM 360 and Inventor is preferred
- Instrumentation and control experience considered an asset
- Electrical modeling software considered an asset
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Software
- Must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and fluctuating schedules
- Superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task with multiple projects
- Must be able to work in a multi-discipline environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Highly motivated, with superb interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Demonstrated problem-solving and attention to detail
- Be willing and able to cross the border, for required support of our US or Canadian customers
- Must be able to obtain work permit in the United States (TN Visa).
- Hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record
