Are you ready to design your future? Be our next Director, Systems Engineering & Safety Assurance ! EXP is seeking a Director, Systems Engineering & Safety Assurance to join our global Rail & Transit Systems sector. As the successful candidate, you will use your strategic leadership abilities to establish, lead and grow a team to successfully win and deliver systems engineering and safety assurance mandates across a dynamic North American market setting. Provide strategic leadership and direction to build and develop an efficient, capable team that applies best practice to deliver integrated, functioning and safe transit systems; Operate as 'professional head' for system design and integration within the business sector and on major projects as allocated; Develop and implement key systems engineering processes and practices in accordance with industry standards, including ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288: 2015 Systems and software engineering - System life cycle processes; Establish and maintain a technical center of excellence for rail & transit system engineering and safety assurance within EXP, and establish accreditation (where appropriate) from industry bodies (INCOSE or similar) to facilitate credibility and development for team members; Develop appropriate budgets for the operational team and for allocated scope on projects, and effectively manage cost and delivery performance in accordance with business and project objectives; Lead and direct the team 'by example' in achieving company health, safety, security & environmental and ethics & compliance objectives; Lead the identification and development of emerging talent within the team and act as a 'mentor' in providing guidance and direction for personal growth of team members. Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent desirable; Experience as a business/project manager with accountability for P&L performance; Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead multi-disciplined engineering teams; Proven experience of the application of systems engineering in major infrastructure projects; Ability to effectively interface with and influence engineering specialists, design managers and construction project managers in a competent professional manner. #
