We are seeking top talent for our Aviva-owned brokerage, Ontario Insurance Services (OIS) based in our Markham head office. We are offering an exciting career in insurance, connecting and creating outstanding experiences with our existing and new customers.

These are full-time roles that are call-center based, with rotating 7.5 shifts each day covering our operating hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

What you'll do:

  • Establish customer rapport through effective management of existing customer portfolios and potential customers.
  • Demonstrate effective sales skills through needs-based selling and asking for the sale.
  • Effectively communicate by telephone and email to resolve issues, describe programs & services to customers and when appropriate, cross-sell and up-sell other Aviva products.
  • Determine customer needs and respond appropriately. Collect relevant information systematically and through probing questions to process inquiries quickly and accurately.
  • Conduct a full file review for underwriting quality and risk exposure for each customer contact.
  • Solidify customer relationships through retention efforts and follow through on commitments.
  • Influence customer loyalty through professionalism & courtesy while achieving brokerage standards for key performance indicators on a team & individual basis.
  • Obtain/solicit leads and cross-sell other lines of business to assist with customer loyalty and business retention.

What you'll bring:

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Determine customer needs and respond in a timely manner. Collect relevant information systematically and through probing questions to process inquiries quickly and accurately.
  • Conduct a full file review for underwriting quality and risk exposure for each customer contact.
  • Solidify customer relationships through retention efforts and follow through on commitments.
  • Influence customer loyalty through professionalism & courtesy while achieving brokerage standards for key performance indicators on a team & individual basis.
  • FPR – First point resolution – able to adhere to all partner systems and underwriting processes.
  • Obtain/solicit leads and cross-sell other lines of business to assist with customer loyalty

Experience/Skills:

  • 2+ plus years of insurance industry experience
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and adaptable to change
  • Personal Lines Insurance product knowledge
  • Problem solving, analytical thinking
  • Personal Accountability
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize work
  • French/English bilingual an asset but not required
  • RIBO license (must have passed the Travel portion of the RIBO with ability to be licensed in Alberta) required
