Overview:
Pembina's Conventional Pipelines Business Unit is hiring a Mechanical Tradesman to join their team. This position is located in Fort St. John, British Columbia and reporting to the Fort St. John Central Foreman.
Pembina's Conventional Pipeline Unit (CBU) consists of strategically positioned assets, a network of pipelines, and associated infrastructure, which includes a variety of hubs and terminals. This network transports crude oil, condensate and NGL across much of Alberta and parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and North Dakota.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
-Support Pembina's safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the "Life Saving Rules". To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina/safety;
-Perform daily maintenance activities including repairs, PMs, troubleshooting, and callouts;
-Maintain pumps, valves, and related oilfield equipment by conducting field inspections to ensure reliability and dependability for day-to-day operations;
-Complete predictive and preventative maintenance schedules of stations and sites to ensure all maintenance is completed to predetermined schedules;
-Participate in installation, maintenance, and operation of new product quality initiatives as needed;
-Assist with installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of new equipment and modifications to existing facilities as needed;
-Complete assignments safely, efficiently, and in an environmentally conscious manner by observing accepted company and industry safety practices;
-Familiar with SAP - PMM program to implement updated maintenance requirements;
-Maintain good working relationships with all departments and areas of operation;
-Supervise contractors as required;
-Ensure assigned vehicle is maintained in a clean and operable condition, and that all required inspections and government documentation are up to date; and
-Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
-Interprovincial Millwright, Automotive Mechanic, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Pipefitter ticket; or working towards one of the above as an apprentice;
-Oilfield Construction experience would be considered an asset;
-Working knowledge of MS Office, SAP and other business-related computer programs and applications;
-Familiar with SAP - PMM maintenance program would be considered an asset:
-Effective interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills;
-Must have Valid Class 5 Driver's License; and
-Safety Courses: TDG, H2S Alive, First Aid would be an asset, but if incomplete, will be provided by Pembina to the successful candidate.
Position requires applicant to reside within 100 Kilometers of Fort St John, BC. This position is considered "Safety Sensitive" and requires Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.
BC Pay Transparency Requirement: The base salary range for this position is $126,350.00 CAD to $133,000.00 CAD. Actual total compensation may differ based on candidate's qualifications and location.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
