Motive is looking for a Tools programmer.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain development tools for artists, designers, and other content creators within the Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate closely with the game development team to understand, address, and optimize the workflow needs.
- Improve and fine-tune existing systems for peak performance within the Unreal Engine environment.
- Assist in debugging and problem solving of game development issues within the Unreal Engine.
- Contribute to technical design documents and knowledge base.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced programmers.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the games industry.
- Proficient in C++ and, ideally, a working knowledge of C# and Python
- Extensive experience with Unreal Engine, including development of tools and plugins.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capability to work effectively within a team setting.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating a high degree of initiative and self-direction.
